For this post, we will be reviewing the Marc Jacobs Glitter See-Quins Eyeshadow and it’s from the Marc Jacobs 2018 Holiday collection.
According to the Sephora website, “It’s a limited-edition, glitter-packed eyeshadow with bold pigment and maximum sparkle in six eye-catching shades.”
“This sequin-finish eyeshadow in a pot adds super-shimmering dimension to any look. The innovative, demi-pressed process allows the pigments to apply more vividly and gives the glitter maximum sparkle. The versatile formula can be packed on for intense glitter or blended for a soft wash of sparkle. It’s high-impact dazzle with smooth glide and bold color. Complete every outfit with a touch of See-quins in your choice of six sparkling shades. “
It costs $35+ taxes which will be 40$ on Sephora here in Montreal, Canada.
The shade that I got is 86 Copperazzi and it’s in 3.5g. I like the box or packaging. The gold and black design looks really classy. The actual container of the product is also very pretty. It has a gold cap with the brand name and a see through glass bottom. Be careful not to drop this because the bottle is breakable.
When you open it, you will see the shield inside that prevents that glitter from spreading all over the place. I wish all of the glitter or loose face powders got this kind of shield because I hate it when I open a glitter, eyeshadow, or loose powders and they spread all over my clothes or desk.
This is a beautiful copper shade of glitter. My mom also loves this shade. It has a lot of pigment everytime I swatch it. It has texture but it’s very easy to managed and blend it on your eyelids.
I used this eyeshadow too last holiday gatherings and dinner. A lot of people noticed my eyeshadow and complimented me for the glitter eyeshadow. I had applied essence metal shock shadow then I used the Marc Jacobs Copparazzi Glitter eyeshadow on the outer and inner corners of my eyes.
When applying the glitter eyeshadow, I noticed that there’s a big difference between applying the product using an eyeshadow brush and just with your fingertips. I suggest using your fingertips because it picks up more product and it is more pigmented on your eyelids.
Special thanks to Influenster for sending the Voxbox for free and for testing/review purposes!
Total Tease Mascara claims:
“Full. Long. Refined. Sexy, teased lashes! Use the lash teasing mascara comb for ease and control to tease even the tiniest corner lashes for a full, voluminous look. Dark, defined lashes that last all day!”
My eyelashes are decent, not too thick, not too thin either. The total tease mascara adds volume to my eyelashes but doesn’t lengthen them.
The tease comb helps a lot with teasing my eyelashes especially reaching the tiniest corner.
It lasts more than 8 hours on my eyelashes.
Katy Kat Eyeliner claims:
“Created by Katy Perry! Get intense-looking eyes that get you noticed with COVERGIRL Katy Kat Eye Liner. It creates Bold to fine lines for the perfect Kat/cat eye. Requires sharpener, sharpener not included.”
This Katy Kat eyeliner is hard to use to create a wing eyeliner.
The smudging tool on the other end is pretty hard and rough to use on the eyes.
It doesn’t last long and it fades throughout the day.
It’s good to use for tight lining the eyes.
It’s good to use for a smokey eye look.
The shade I got was Kitty KatDabra has glitter on it and it only lasts 2-3 hours on my eyes then it fades.
H&M is awesome for their cute and good clothes but who would think that they will eventually have a cosmetic line that is affordable as well?
I have tried some of their cosmetic products and been using them ever since. To see my full review, go to my YouTube video: H&M Cosmetic: Get or Forget?
First of all, their packaging is gorgeous! It’s plastic which makes it really light and the style and design is great.
The eyeshadows and lipsticks have this gold and white packaging which makes it look expensive but bear in mind that it’s still plastic.
Their pressed face powder was amazing in keeping my face matte. I have tried to use this on top of different foundations that I own and it blended in perfectly.
Here are the swatches for the eyeshadows that I got. From left to right, the name of the eyeshadows is: Let It Shine, Sun Worship, Over the Moon, Golden Light.
(Live swatches are in my YouTube video!)
The swatches are decent for a shimmer eyeshadow. Most of them stayed on my eyes for hours and they are not having so much fallouts like other cheap eyeshadows.
The H&M lipstick, as shown above, has a very nice glide on the lips. Remember when you purchase this online, the shade at the bottom of the lipstick is not exact as the actual color of the lipstick so better go to an H&M store to see the actual shade rather than purchasing something you thought you want but you won’t.
The lipstick is moisturizing. This lipstick tho is quite messy to apply and can easily transfer so make sure to also apply lip liner.
Enjoy summer while it’s still here! I made my own version of summer glam makeup and most of the makeup I used are drugstore makeups which are all affordable! You can also watch the video down below to see how I did it and the makeup used will also be listed down below.
